The Union of Bus Drivers has congratulated Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Transportation Minister Miri Regev on their decision to allow buses to run to 75% capacity from the end of this week.
"Bus drivers are on the front lines when it comes to dealing with all the confusion surrounding transportation," the Union's statement reads. "The situation until now was intolerable, even life-threatening; it was vital to do something to rectify this.
"All the same, it is vital to do our utmost to prevent another outbreak of the virus, and we have to ensure that the bus drivers do not come into contact with passengers, by use of barriers."
