Prof. Alan Dershowitz, one of the world's foremost lawyers, said in a Galatz interview that "Netanyahu's trial poses great danger to democracy and the rule of law. This is the first time in the history of any modern country that a man is being prosecuted for trying to gain positive media coverage."
However, he opposed attacks on Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and said: "It's a terrible thing to call an Attorney General delinquent, he is not. He is a fair person, whom I disagree with. Democracy has room for criticism against those who make mistakes but you cannot threaten or call him a delinquent."
