Hours before Prime Minister Netanyahu's trial begins, Movement for Quality Government operatives hung huge signs over the Ayalon Freeway with the caption: "The Prime Minister is on the defendants' bench - Israel is ashamed."
The Movement's Facebook page said: "This is a hard day. For the first time, the Prime Minister of Israel will not rise in the morning and go to his office, will not go to the Knesset, nor will he attend meetings or conferences or panels. For the first time in Israeli history, the Prime Minister of Israel will sit on the defendants' bench for serious charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. Shame."
