A few days ago, the media was in an uproar over the case of a seven-year-old girl in second grade whose teacher ordered her into class wearing just a shirt and undergarments, since the sleeveless dress she wore to school was in breach of school regulations.
Now it is being reported that the girl's parents have transferred her to another school, also in Petah Tikva, after the municipality acceded to their request.
The municipality issued a statement that: "Mayor Rami Greenberg and the head of education on the city council, Ron Katz, acceded to the request of the parents of the student concerned, and next Sunday she will be starting at a new school."
