President of the Supreme Court Esther Hayut and the Court's director, Dr. Yigal Marzel, have expressed their horror and distress at the incidents of arson at two rabbinical courts in recent days. Two people have been arrested on suspicion that they were involved in the incidents.

In a letter that was published this morning, written by Dr. Marzel to the director of the Rabbinical Courts, Rabbi David Malka, Marzel wrote: "In the name of the Supreme Court President Esther Hayut and in my own name, I would like to express my shock and distress at the arson attempts at a number of rabbinical courts. We must not tolerate such attacks on state institutions, or on the judicial system, and we wish to offer you our support at this time."
