A newly qualified driver in his twenties has been arrested for speeding at 179 km/h (111mph) on Highway 60 near the Kochav Yaakov junction.
The driver is a Palestinian Arab from Beit Lechem, and he will shortly be brought to trial. Meanwhile, his license has been suspended for 30 days.
