The World Synagogues Organization has issued guidelines to synagogue chaplains and community leaders following Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision to reopen Israel's synagogues while adhering to Ministry of Health rules.

Amongst the guidelines are the following:

1. The number of worshipers should not exceed 50. If necessary - additional minyanim can be held at different times, in other places of the synagogue or in the open.

2. A distance of 2 meters between worshipers must be strictly observed.

3. Worshipers are obliged to come and stay in the synagogue with face masks.

4. Each synagogue will appoint an individual responsible for maintaining coronavirus guidelines among worshippers.
