A documentary that is set to premier this Friday alleges that "Jane Roe," made famous in the 1973 Roe vs Wade case that legalized abortion in the United States, was paid to make anti-abortion statements.

A report in The Guardian cites a "deathbed confession" made by Roe, whose real name was Norma McCorvey, in which she admitted that "I took their money and they’d put me out in front of the cameras and tell me what to say ... I did it well too, I am a good actress."

According to the documentary, McCorvey received around half a million dollars from anti-abortion organizations for promoting their views.
