In an interview with Reshet Bet, Minister Amir Peretz commented on the possibility that Israel will apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, noting that he would not support any process that was unilateral in nature.
"We don't support unilateral annexation," he said. "Israel has to be sensitive to what's going on in the region, and within the Palestinian Authority. There are elements within the opposition which support taking steps that are even more extreme than application of sovereignty - elements who would probably want to go further than what the current government is able to authorize," he added.
