Yossi Beilin, one of the architects of the Oslo Peace Accords, was interviewed by Yinon Magal and Ben Caspit on 103 radio and addressed the incoming unity government. He said he believed Netanyahu would honor the agreement with Blue and White and go through with the rotation of Benny Gantz once his term has run its course.
Beilin predicted the government would run into difficulties from the start: "If you have 36 ministers, you must constantly deal with the question of their authorities and coordination. In such a situation there will be no end to power struggles."
Beilin also mentioned the possibility of Israel annexing Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley. "I really hope it doesn't happen, it doesn't have to, it really puts our finger in the eye of our neighbors. All it would do is endanger the Jewish majority [of the State of Israel]. Such annexation is the beginning of a complete annexation and it's the last thing we need," he opined.
