A 60-year-old man who was found unconscious on Herzl Boulevard in Dimona has passed away from heat exhaustion.
MDA paramedic Elyashiv Amitai related: "We found a 60-year-old man lying on the sidewalk, unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with symptoms of sunstroke. We immediately commenced treatment including administration of medication and resuscitation attempts. The man was extremely hot to the touch, and while we were attempting resuscitation, we cooled him down using liters and liters of water that local residents brought us in buckets. To our regret, the man's condition remained critical and after extended efforts to revive him, we had no choice but to pronounce his death."
