Chief Rabbi David Lau has expressed his horror at the incidents of arson that took place at the rabbinical courts in Petah Tikva and Tel Aviv.

"I received the news of the arsons this morning with great sorrow," Rabbi Lau said. "I am confident that the country's security forces will do everything within their power to locate those responsible and bring them to justice.

"Today, I wish to offer my support to the country's religious judges and all those who work in the rabbinical courts, people who work day and night in order to provide assistance to all those who approach the rabbinical courts for help, and who do their utmost to ensure the best possible outcome for all those concerned. These are people who demonstrate sensitivity and dedication to an extraordinary extent, and I know that they will continue to do so without fear for their own safety."
