This Tuesday a group of 34 Israeli travelers will depart from New Zealand to Hong Kong and from there will travel by El Al flight to Israel.
These are travelers forced to stay in New Zealand due to closed borders and cancelled flights resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. A way to get them back to Israel was found with the help of El Al, the Israeli Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand, and the Israeli Consulate General in Hong Kong.
Another group of nine Israelis from New Zealand arrived in London last night on a British government rescue flight and from there continue to Israel.
