The death toll from the coronavirus epidemic in Israel rose to 252 people today, with 5 people dying in the last 24 hours.
The total number of Covid-19 cases so far confirmed in Israel now stands at 16,477 people, with an additional 24 cases reported today.
Of these, 11,430 people have made a complete recovery (defined as having twice tested negative for the virus), an increase of 127 from yesterday.
As such, there are now 4,795 active cases, down 108 from yesterday. Of these, 65 people are on ventilators, an increase of one person from yesterday.
3,649 tests for the presence of the coronavirus were performed yesterday, and 2,982 today.
