Minister for Internal Security Gilad Erdan (Likud) has responded to the request of the government that ministers authorize the opening of public parks to the general public.
"The Health Ministry has asked the government to authorize new regulations that allow people to enter public parks. This is a correct path to take," he wrote on Twitter. "But what is the logic in continuing to prevent people from going to the beaches? I call on the Health Ministry to correct this inconsistency. One cannot enforce the current rules if they cannot be logically explained. The government should allow the bathing season to begin."
