Police from the Israel Police's Marine Policing Unit rescued a surfer Friday and helped him get back to shore after drifting off the coast of Ashdod.
The surfer said that during the surf, he drifted too far and became very tired as he tried to get back to the beach. One of the police officers, who is also one of the paramedics in the unit, examined the person whose condition was good, and did not require medical treatment.
