Chef Haim Cohen has said that despite government promises to provide loans and grants, the money is not coming to restaurant businesses and that many restaurants even if they do receive loans will not be able to repay them.

He said opening a restaurant is something that requires seven to ten days of preparation and that even when the restaurants open, he does not expect people to fill the restaurants and guidelines are also unclear as to what kind of service diners can receive.

Cohen says two to two and a half years of severe recession are expected, but he hopes to start following open-air restaurant guidelines and is optimistic and wants to get back to who he is and start cooking again.
