Batya Varensky-Orni, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) first female navigator who participated in the Dakota paratrooper drop in the Suez Campaign of 1956, passed away today at the age of 86.
Batya is survived by three sons and a daughter, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
