Head of the Blue & White party and Knesset Speaker Benny Gantz has spoken with President Rivlin and updated him on the efforts being made to set up a unity government.
Gantz said that in his estimation, after Pesach [Passover] it would be necessary to request an extension of the time allotted to him to form a government, as the law permits. The President replied that he would consider the request and come to a decision by the time the current period expires, at midnight on April 13.
