The Meretz Party has submitted its first bill to the 21st Knesset: a proposal to repeal the Jewish Nation-State Law passed by the previous Knesset.
Calling the keeping of a campaign promise, Meretz Chairwoman Tamar Zandberg said that "the Nation-State law is a racist and discriminatory law that has no place in a democratic state. The only answer to the deepening of racism is the deepening of partnership and partnership requires that this law be thrown into the dustbin of history."
