Russia will work for internal Palestinian Authority reconciliation between the Fatah and Hamas factions, according to the London-based pan-Arabic newspaper Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat.
The Russians have informed the parties and Israel of their intention. It was also reported that the reconciliation was the reason why the Russian Foreign Ministry invited Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, to visit Moscow.
