Minister of Public Security, Gilad Erdan criticized the police's handling of the funeral of the terrorist from Umm al-Fahm, saying: "I saw the pictures and I am saying in the clearest way possible, that in my eyes the police and other branches of the justice system failed. I expect, that next time the police will not hand over the bodies (of terrorists) until they see that there are only as many people at the funeral as allowed and if there is a problem then the funeral must take place somewhere else. A normal country doesn't allow such things to happen."
