Islamic Jihad has responded to Israel's decision to close the Kerem Shalom freight crossing into Gaza as "a declaration of war on the part of Israel". The terror group also called it a "crime against humanity".
The decision followed more than 100 days of incendiary kites and balloons being launched by Gaza terrorists, in addition to attempts to infiltrate Israel from the Hamas-ruled area.
