Ahed Tamimi claims harassment during questioning

The lawyer for Ahed Tamimi filed a complaint Monday with the attorney general in which she claims that her client was harassed by her interrogators.

Tamimi is a teenage Palestinian Authority resident serving an eight-month sentence for slapping an Israeli soldier in a video that went viral. According to the complaint, she claimed that during questioning, a person who was presented as an officer in military intelligence made comments about Tamimi's looks that amounted to sexual harassment. The same officer also threatened that if she did not cooperate, her relatives would be arrested. The Police Investigation Department told Tamimi's attorney it had no authority to interrogate the officer because he was not a police officer so she went to the attorney general so that the proper authority would open an investigation.
