In the last month alone, at least 120,000 Syrians fled their homes and became refugees, according to the United Nations. This is a significant break from the previous estimate, which claimed there were only 50,000 new refugees.
Most of the 120,000 are from Aleppo, Hama, and Idlib. Most still remain in the same region or moved to refugee camps on the Turkish border.
