Meir Sheetrit, a long-time Knesset member, is expected to convene a press conference in Tel Aviv on Thursday to announce that he is quitting Hatnua - the party headed by Tzipi Livni which recently joined with Labor.
Sheetrit follows fellow Hatnua MKs Amram Mitzna, David Tsur, and Elazar Stern, all of whom announced that they are either quitting politics altogether or are running for Knesset with a different party.
