The theme of Holocaust Remembrance Day 2013 will be Jewish resistance to the Nazis during WWII. The official opening ceremony will take place at Yad VaShem Sunday night at 20:00.
PM Netanyahu and President Peres will speak, and Yad VaShem Director Avner Shalev will ignite the memorial torch. Survivors will be represented by survivor Aliza Shomron Vitis, who will address the audience.
Six torches will be lit during the ceremony.
