Rabbi Chaim Druckman expressed his support, Thursday, for Deputy Mayor Avi Wortzman of Be'er Sheva' as a candidate for the Knesset list of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party). Rabbi Druckman heads the Or-Etzion yeshiva, from which Deputy Mayor Wortzman graduated. Wortzman also served on the institution's board of directors.

Rabbi Druckman was among those in the religious Zionist camp who called on Wortzman to run as a representative whose personality and actions express the social, educational and Torah action of religious Zionism throughout the country.
