United States President Barack Obama has agreed with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Italian Prime MInister Mario Monti that concerted efforts must be made to strengthen the economies of the Euro Bloc and encourage growth in Europe and the rest of the world.
Obama spoke to the two European leaders in separate phone conversations. The White House has reported that the leaders agreed to continue to be in touch.
