Hizbullah sources said Tuesday morning that terrorists affiliated with the group were not responsible for the Katyusha rocket attack on Israel early Tuesday. A Hizbullah spokesperson told a Lebanese radio station that none of its activists had been involved in the firing, and that Hizbullah would release a formal statement on the matter later in the day. The spokesperson said that the culprits were most likely “Syrian agents in Lebanon.”
The IDF fired shells at several villages in South Lebanon after the attack. With that, officials said that Israel would probably not continue in its response, as it saw the attack as an “isolated incident.”
