According to various reports, the deal for Gilad Shalit’s freedom on which the government is to vote Tuesday night would see 1,000 terrorists released from prison. They would be freed in three stages.
In the first stage, 300 would be freed as Shalit is transferred to Egyptian custody. In the second, 150 more would be freed as Shalit is put on board a helicopter bound for Israel, and in the third, 550 would be freed after Shalit reaches Israel.
