Obama Approval Low; Reelection Hopes Fade

United States President Barack Obama's approval ratings continue to fall, according to a poll conducted by Peter Hart for Wall Street Journal/NBC News. “Obama is no longer favorite to win re-election,” he said.

Obama's overall approval rating was just 44%, Hart found, with 37% satisfied with his management of the economy. Fifty-four percent said they think the president is unlikely to recover his former popularity.

Obama is to address the public Thursday and to reveal his plan to stimulate job growth.
