Israel may transfer in the coming days the tax money it collects for the Palestinian Authority and which it froze after the unity deal between Fatah and Hamas, diplomatic sources reported on Sunday.

According to the sources, the decision was arrived following a consultation between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the forum of seven ministers.

Voice of Israel Radio reported that there is a possibility that Netanyahu will present U.S. President Barack Obama with the data on the transfer of the tax money during their meeting in Washington this weekend. This would be considered a step of goodwill on Israel’s part, with the hope that it will lead to progress in talks with the Palestinian Authority.
