Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan informed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman Tuesday morning that he was declining their offer to be Israel's ambassador to the United Nations.
Erdan thanked them for expressing confidence in him. He said the decision was difficult but his commitment to the environment prevailed.
