The New Israel Fund (NIF) raises $30 Million annually from American Jews, including prominent people such as Alisa Doctoroff, President of UJA-Federation, Karen R. Adler & Brian Lurie, organizations including The Jewish Communal Fund, Jim Joseph Foundation and others. Let’s look at where this money has been spent in the last 30 days:

NIF Grantee B’Tselem is saddened about the fact that on July 1, Israeli police officers sealed the home of Udai Abu al-Jamal – who was one of the perpetrators of the massacre of Jews at prayer in the synagogue in Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood last November, in which four worshippers were killed and seven were injured. The organization issued a press release which said ‘The demolition or sealing of a home is a draconian, vindictive measure..”

Jews should care more about the victims of the terror attack than about protecting a terrorist support network. Strong measures are necessary to protect Israel.

Another NIF grantee, Hamoked, had filed a petition in Israel’s High Court of Justice trying to prevent the action, and ‘stated that the demolition constitutes collective punishment’

American Jews help pay to represent the terrorists families in court, and also to help them after Israeli police sealed the home.

B’Tselem is celebrating the fact that a terrorist leader of Islamic Jihad is being released from an Israeli jail next week following a high-profile hunger strike. Khader Adnan is a leader of an organization recognized worldwide as a terror group.

B’Tselem shares, “Khader and his wife have six children: a seven-year-old daughter, a five-year-old daughter, a three-year-old son, and an 18-month-old triplet. Khader holds a bachelor degree in financial mathematics and enrolled for a master’s degree at Birzeit University, but he has not been able to complete his studies because of the repeated arrests. He also has a bakery in the vegetable market in Qabatiyah."

They quote the father: "My son is the victim of injustice. He has been repeatedly held in administrative detention, under the pretext of classified material, from a young age.”

And they continue, “Khader ‘Adnan is one of hundreds of Palestinians from the West Bank held by Israel in administrative detention.”  They go on to protest the secretive process of which judges sentence terrorists in Israeli courts.

NIF donors should care more about the victims of Khader Adnan than about the health of a terrorist on a hunger strike intended to harm Israel. Adnan is a leader of an organization which the US, European Union, UK, Japan and other countires recognize as a terrorist organization.

American Jews funding NIF are helping Adnan, who can be seen on YouTube encouraging suicide bombings by asking, "Who among you will carry the next explosive belt? Who among you will fire the next bullets? Who among you will have his body parts blown all over?"

This week, the NIF tweeted support for boycotts of Israel, and wrote an op-ed explaining why the United Nations report accusing Israel of war crimes was “.. not a case of the UNHRC picking on Israel unfairly.”

Standing with The New Israel Fund at these perilous times is standing against the State of Israel.
