Sirens sounded early Friday morning, around 4:30 a.m., in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Gush Dan and the Shfela (Lowlands) region following a launch from Yemen.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the missile was intercepted.

A report was received regarding fragments from the interception that fell in the area of Modi'in in central Israel. The details are under review.

A spokesperson for Magen David Adom stated following the sirens that Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to treat 12 people who were injured while on their way to a shelter, as well as nine people suffering from anxiety.

Ben Gurion Airport resumed operations about half an hour after the launch towards Israel, but two airlines decided mid-air not to land in Israel, and changed the route of the flights to Larnaca in Cyprus.

On Monday evening, sirens were activated in dozens of cities in central Israel after a missile was launched from Yemen towards Israel.

The IDF said that a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF prior to crossing into Israeli territory.

Fragments from the interception were found in the cities of Beit Shemesh and Rehovot. About 25 minutes after the sirens, departures and arrivals at Ben Gurion Airport resumed after being halted due to the sirens.

During the siren, an 18-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle while on her way to a shelter in Yavne.

Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom provided her with medical treatment and evacuated her to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot, where she was listed in light condition.

The missile attack from Yemen came shortly after US and British air strikes in Yemen.
