Activists from the Jewish Home party on Saturday night approached MK Motti Yogev and invited him to speak at a meeting of members of the Jewish Home with Minister Bezalel Smotrich,s to take place on Sunday.

"I told them that I was considering it and that if I come, it will be for the purpose of another attempt at unification between the parties, in our complex reality. I also suggested that they invite the chairman of the party, Rabbi Rafi Peretz, to speak. The first step toward unity is to meet," wrote Yogev.

Yogev has spoken out against the agreement that was signed between Rabbi Peretz and the Otzma Yehudit party on a joint run in the March 2020 election.

Meanwhile, Kan 11 News reported on Saturday night that the Jewish Home and Otzma Yehudit are looking to add to their slate a prominent female figure if the National Union, led by Smotrich, does not join them.

The report said that since the signing of the agreement between Jewish Home and Otzma Yehudit, there has been a disconnect between Rabbi Peretz and Smotrich, who has conditioned his party joining the slate by having its make up decided through primaries or through a broad survey.
