A British Muslim who gained prominence for her leading role in providing aid to victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London has drawn criticism, after denying the Holocaust and accusing Jews of perpetrating the fire which engulfed the 24-story apartment building earlier this year.

In June, a fire broke out inside the Grenfell Tower residential building in western London, then home to some 120 families, many of them immigrants, including members of the UK’s Muslim community.

Seventy-one people lost their lives in the fire, while dozens more suffered serious injuries.

The fire sparked protests which drew hundreds of London residents, mostly from the city’s Muslim community.

While many protesters charged the building’s management with failing to properly prepare the building for the event of a fire, some claimed the incident was no accident, but was the result of a Jewish conspiracy.

As efforts to help survivors cope with the devastating fire continue, one of the leading volunteers was revealed last week to be an unapologetic Holocaust denier who had herself propagated anti-Semitic claims alleging that Jews had intentionally sparked the blaze.

Tahra Ahmed, 47, claimed that the 71 people killed in the fire were victims “burnt alive in a Jewish sacrifice”, The Times of London reported

Ahmed also described Adolf Hitler and World War II-era Germans as “victims” of a world-wide Jewish conspiracy, and argued that the Holocaust was a hoax, dubbing it the “holohoax”.

“Hitler and the Germans were the victims of the Jewish conspiracy to destroy Germany,” Ahmed wrote on Facebook, adding that the 9/11 terror attacks in 2001 were also part of a larger Jewish conspiracy.

“Watch the live footage of people trapped in the inferno with flames behind them,” Ahmed wrote on Facebook.

“They were burnt alive in a Jewish sacrifice. Grenfell is owned by a private Jewish property developer just like the Twin Towers. I wonder how much Goldman [Sachs] is standing to make in the world’s most expensive real estate location.”
