Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Qazanfar Roknabadi warned regional nations to maintain vigilance against plots of the United States and so-called ‘Zionist regime of Israel,’ Fars News Agency (FNA) reported.
Roknabadi reveled his concerns to Zahir al-Khatib, a Lebanese political activist and head of the Institute for Social Development, at a meeting in Beirut on Tuesday.
The officials highlighted the significance of safeguarding Lebanon against “Zionist plots and conspiracies.”
Khatib maintained that Iran’s “role” in the region safeguards the interests of regional nations.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always played positive role, instances of which could be witnessed in Lebanon and in its support of the people and resistance of that country, Khatib said.
Iranian and Lebanese officials have recently increased efforts to expand the bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two nations, according to FNA.
