Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met on Tuesday with Sima and Eliyahu, the widow and father of Counter-terrorism officerPascal Avrahami, who was killed by a terrorist in the terror attack along the Israel-Egypt border last August.

During the meeting, which was held at the request of the family, Sima and Eliyahu asked the Prime Minister to help perpetuate Pascal’s memory.

During the meeting, Sima told Netanyahu that Pascal would have celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday. She updated the Prime Minister that, after her husband’s death, she also lost her father and brother and that she joined the police.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said during the meeting, “Pascal was a great hero, a great Zionist, great patriot, a superb man among excellent people. We will act to ensure that his memory is perpetuated.”

Earlier this week, First Sergeant Moshe Naftali of Ofra, who was killed in the same terror attack, received a posthumous citation from the Head of Southern Command

Naftali killed two terrorists before he was murdered in the combined terror attack which claimed the lives of six other people.
