One of the participants in the 18th International Mediterranean Tourism Market show was Tour Shomron, the Shomron Tourist Authority which operates under the auspices of the Shomron Regional Council.

Tour Shomron was on hand in order to encourage more people to come and enjoy the beautiful sites of Samaria.

“There are many things you can do in the Shomron,” Kuti Ben-David, a tour guide with Tour Shomron, told Arutz Sheva. “There are boutique wines, there are hikes, organic farms, archaeology, a lot of bible, and very very good people.”

Ben-David said that most people are not at all deterred and are happy to tour the area of the “settlements.”

“Most of the people, when we ask them if they want to hear about the Shomron, stop, sit down, take a card, take a few maps and leave their phone number,” he said.

“People enjoy the Shomron and they are surprised because they think they are going into a war zone and when they come they see the view, they see the people, they see how quiet it is all around,” said Ben-David.

“We are very happy that people have started to come in the past few years,” he added.
