A third person also suffered unspecified injuries and will probably be taken to hospital.

The rocket struck a parking lot near the Victory supermarket in the Peretz Center shopping mall. It damaged cars and stores and sent shoppers fleeing for their lives. Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the attack.

At least 16 rockets have struck the Gaza Belt and Sderot Wednesday.

According to Arab sources, the IAF hit and destroyed the launch pods from which the latest rocket barrage was fired.
