MK Yisrael Eichler (UTJ) said that the list of neighborhoods in Jerusalem that have been shut off is, with very few exceptions, a list of the city's haredi neighborhoods, and that the neighborhoods chosen were not singled out due to a higher incidence of infection.
Earlier, Jerusalem mayor Moshe Leon noted himself that the decision to lock down certain neighborhoods was "political."
