Chairman Avigdor Liberman of the Yisrael Beytenu Party directed the party's legal advisers on Monday to petition the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling that qualified Member of Knesset Heba Yazbak (Balad) to run in the upcoming election.
Liberman also asked the court for a new hearing in light of Yazbak's support for Sheikh Raed Salah, who was convicted on Monday of incitement to terrorism and support for a prohibited organization.
