Member of Knesset Tamar Zandberg (Meretz) told Channel 11 News, Monday evening, that the request for the disqualification of Member of Knesset Heba Yazbak (Balad) was a "needless and materially incorrect" request.
Referring to right-wing activists, Zandberg claimed, "We at Meretz were personally involved in [Bentzi] Gopstein and [Baruch] Marzel's disqualifications. It was about acts, incitement to violence, convictions, what does not exist in this case. She [Yazbak] is a representative of a minority and there is no interest in disqualifying her."
