Former United States special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian Authority negotiations Martin Indyk has responded to the latest US sanctions against Iran by saying, "Iran will understand from this that the US is attempting to shut down its economy."
Writing on Twitter, the former US ambassador to Israel added, "If the US wants Iran to negotiate rather than capitulate it needs to signal that it will ease sanctions if Iran reverses the steps it has now taken to enrich uranium and advance towards the bomb."
