Chairman Danny Atar of the Keren Kayemet Leyisrael Jewish National Fund has announced that JNF will hold a special planting ceremony as part of its Tu B'Shvat observances in memory of Motti Ben Shabbat, who was killed on Wednesday while trying to rescue people who had been swept away with their vehicle in Nahariya flooding.
Atar said, "Ben Shabbat's act is not only a symbol of good citizenship but of the basic good found in humans. At that moment he did not think about himself or even his family, but only how to save people he did not know at all."
