The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel has welcomed the Supreme Court ruling for the deportation of Boycott Divestment and Sanctions activist Omar Shakir, Human Rights Watch's director for Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The forum said, "As stated in the ruling, the minister's decision not to approve Shakir's stay for his activity against the state is a reasonable and proportionate decision, and has been made according to definitions of law. The Supreme Court today properly balanced its rule of law vis-à-vis those who wish to trample them through cynical exploitation of 'human rights'."
