Former Israeli ambassador to the United States Danny Ayalon wrote on Twitter, Thursday, "Saddened by the death of Elijah Cummings. He founded the Cummings Youth Program in Israel and sent students from his district to volunteer at Yemin Orde in Israel each year. I never met another Congressman so dedicated to having their constituents visit Israel. I'll miss him."
