Minister of Communications Dudi Amsalem has responded to the decision of Central Election Committee Chairman Hanan Melcer not to allow cameras to be installed at polling places by saying, "Your Honor, Judge Melcer - I have read in amazement your outrageous decision. You must have been confused. Your most important job is to maintain the purity of the elections and not encourage the forgery industry under the guise of harming the secret-ballot principle."
